I have always struggled with my writing process for working on this blog. If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know this, because I post very sporadically. I’m always looking for ways to improve how I go about writing, and I recently found a few via this article.
I’m sure some of the stuff seems pretty basic on there, but I really am not a writer, so I hadn’t considered most of these steps. Before, I just sat down at my computer and tried to force myself to write, sometimes with mixed results. Thanks to that article, I have established a place where I only write at; on my bed with my laptop. I also listen to the Claude Debussy station on Pandora. I find that having classical music on low volume helps me focus and write more freely. For the first time ever, I also wrote a flow-chart of events for my last post to make sure I kept things in order.
I would love to hear from all the other authors on how their writing process works. I know I would find it beneficial, and I’m sure others would too. I wasn’t terribly specific describing mine, but feel free to write as much as you want. If I get enough responses, I’ll make a separate page under my Extras section so people can reference it whenever they want.
A quick update on my blog – Between family and friends I don’t get to see often, I don’t expect to begin working on another post for at least another week.
