Day 10 of 28DCD: Coping Mechanisms

When Grawnk was young, and things got bad in the stronghold, (which was often) he would typically retreat into a good book, or seek refuge with his mother. Later on, he would also write stories, or work on music/songs. Of course, things didn’t exclusively turn to shit just when Grawnk was in the stronghold. Skyrim has had its share of downers for Grawnk too.

Up until the point that Grawnk reached the Bard’s College in Solitude, he would think about becoming a bard and finding his mother when things got tough. Of course, when Grawnk got scared, and suddenly was too shaken to continue on his path to becoming a bard, his only coping mechanism then was to just run away from it all. Luckily, during all his wandering, he found he was tougher than he thought, both mentally and physically, and was able to continue on his quest to become a bard.

  1. I don’t know why but I imagine Grawnk in a tent with a quill and paper his face and hands covered in ink as he writes away while a saber cat sniffs at his tent.
